WHAT IS CARE GIVING?
Care giving refers to the provision of assistance to another person who is ill, disabled, or needs help with daily activities. It often requires attention to the physical, mental, social, and psychological needs and well-being of both the caregivers and the elderly person requiring care.
HOW IS CARE GIVING VITAL TO YOUR PATIENT?
Care giving is needed when someone is bedridden or to the adults. We can assist them through care giving. Care giving is about giving proper care to your patient, as a home nurse you should learn how to be a care giver. Care giving is also a form of medication to the elderly.

BANDAGING AND DRESSING
WHAT IS BANDAGING?
A piece of material used either to support a medical device such as a dressing or splint, or on its own to provide support to the body; they can also be used to restrict a part of the body.
WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO APPLY IT?
During heavy bleeding or following a poisonous bite it is important to slow the flow of blood, tight bandages accomplish this task very well.
WHERE WILL YOU APPLY IT?
You are going to applied it to the body part that has been injured.
WHY IS THERE A NEED TO PUT BANDAGE?
To cure the wounded or the injure part. And also to avoid infections.
HOW WILL YOU CURE THE INJURED PART?
By applying the skill bandaging and dressing.
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS
WHAT IS SIGN AND WHAT IS SYMPTOM?
Signs are the doctor sees in the patient, while symptoms is what the patient feels.
WHEN WILL THE PATIENT KNOW THAT HE/SHE HAS A SICKNESS?
If the patient feel uncomfortable or something happens that is not usual.
WHERE WILL THE PATIENT GO FOR CONSULTATION?
The patient need to go to the doctor as soon as possible. To track or to know whether he/she has a severe disease or maybe just a simple disease.
WHY IS THERE A NEED TO GO TO THE DOCTOR?
It is really necessary to go to the doctor. Because disease starts small and later if you will not consult to a doctor your disease will become severe and it may take your life.
HOW WILL THE PATIENT CURE IT?
If the patient will take his/her medicines everyday and always visiting the doctor.

Making a Bed
1. Why do we need to know how to make an unoccupied and occupied bed?
We need to learn this basic steps in order for us to know how to make an occupied and unoccupied bed properly. It may be hard from the first time you try it, but it will be easier if you always practice these steps everyday. It need the person to be patient enough and try his/her best best making an occupied and unoccupied bed.
2. How does making a bed help in the fast recovery of our patient?
I think it does help. Why? Because if the patient have a bed organized and clean, it will give him/her time to rest. And not disturbing the patient his/her sleep.
3. As a good home nurse, how will you be able to render your services to your patient through bed making?
Through the bed making I can help my patient to recover fast. And at the same time make the patient feel comfortable where he/she is lying or sleeping.
Bathing the Patient
1. Why do you need to give a bath to the patient?
We need to give the patient a bath for the patient to be refresh and be clean. It will keep the patient's body comfortable and avoid being itchy. And can help the patient to recover fast and avoid infections.
2. What are the materials needed for bed bath or sponge bath?
The materials needed for the bed bath or sponge bath are the following:
It is used if the patient cant moved or he/she is bedridden.

It is given to a patient to refresh him/her.
5. How do you differentiate cold compress from hot compress?
Hot compresses or heat therapy is a method used for relief of chronic pain or injury issues with no inflammation or swelling. It is also an effective way to relieve muscular tightness. Hot compresses increase blood flow to the area and can increase the elasticity of the muscles and connective tissue surrounding the joints, thus minimizing stiffness and pain, and preparing the muscles to work more efficiently.
Cold compresses or cold therapy is an effective way to reduce inflammation or swelling of an acute injury. An acute injury involves symptoms that come on quickly, usually from a single activity or injury, which can last up to three days. The use of ice or cold compresses constricts the blood vessels and decreases pain and inflammation. Cold compresses are also an effective tool to combat chronic pain and injury issues, especially after activities.

1. If you are a good home nurse, what are the various home nursing techniques that you need to apply that will make the patient feel comfortable and speed up the recovery?
If I were a home nurse I would always prepare the patients bed and make sure it is clean. Give the patient the right medicines in the right time. Check the patients vital signs everyday.
2. Why should the home nurse monitor the vital signs of the patient?
The home nurse should always monitor the patients vital signs to be able to know the patients body temperature, blood pressure, the pulse rate and the respiratory rate.
3. How do you take the body temperature, pulse rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure of the patient?
Their are some instruments that we can use for taking ones vital signs.For the body temperature we can use a thermometer. For the pulse rate we can use our fingers. For blood pressure we can use aneroid monitor. For the respiratory rate, observe the patients chest when he/she is breathing.
4. What are some practices that the home nurse must follow that will promote comfort to the patient?
The home nurse should have a good attitude towards the patient. The home nurse should make sure that the patient is comfortable with the home nurse.
5. How will you differentiate signs from symptoms of illnesses and diseases?
A symptom is subjective from the patient point of view. A symptom is what the patient experiences about the illness, injury or disease. Symptoms can only be experienced, they are not able to be observed or measured objectively. Pain is a symptom.
A sign is an objective physical manifestation of illness, injury or disease. It is an objective finding, something one can observe and measure. A rapid pulse, a high temperature, a low blood pressure, an open wound, bruising, etc. are all signs.
6. If you are the doctor, what will be your basis in giving the diagnosis for your patient?
If the patient is sick and have a severe disease. This will be the basis for the doctor to give the patient some diagnosis.

Medicines ......
Medicines is use to prevent and cure someone's disease. The medicines make one feel better. The importance of this lesson is to help students know how to administer medicine to the patient or someone who get sick. We need to be sure of what we give the patient because we might give him/her the wrong medicine.
Recovering of the patient will be easy if we know how to make him/her better. We should go to the doctor for some health tips in order for the patient to be cure. If your are planning to be a doctor, nurse, or a home nurse you should learn first how to give patient their medicines. Learning this steps, can make you a better doctor or a nurse or just a normal person who gives medicine to someone. Patience should be one of your characteristics.

Wrong medication will end up the life of someone. You should learn how to read the doctors prescription. Because in it are the dosage of medicines you will give to the patient. If you will not follow what the doctors prescription, this will cause your patient's life. You should be active in dealing with your patient.
The proper administering of medicine to the patient is very helpful. This can make the patient to be recover fast and to regain his/her strength again. In order to make the patient feel better, you should also make the patient comfortable with you.

Our Recycled Craftss ")
It was hard to make products out of recycled materials. I found it lazy to make recycled product.
Our group deciced to make 2 different products; the first one was a pencil case and the second is a picture frame.
Our first product was the idea of Michelle, a pencil case. The materials we use are directory book, pencil, paint, and scrapbook materials. The pencil case looks like a flower, we paint it with red and put some glitters. Take a look on our product;
The second product we made is a picture frame. The materials we use are illustration board, magazines, hard plastic cover (cd) and construction papers. For this product you can make your own design, and decide what size of the frame. Our frame was designed by Lae. Our group provide materials for this product. Take a look on our product;
Finally our product is doneeee:)) HAHAHA
I feel that we did our best in making a good and creative product. Our group make effort in making those 2 product. Our product look AMAZZIIING!! :P
If we sell our products to the people they will surely buy it. Our product is very colorful, so attractive to everyone's eye. If i where to sell it, ill sell it at 50.php each. The product is very useful, like our pencil case.

When where asked to make a thank you pop-out card,,

I was like OMG! cause i never make one before. But making this was easy, so i didn't had a hard time making the card. My card is so simple. I use brown and violet construction paper. Put some simple designs. I didnt put pictures because its hard to find one. I feel I got nothing to hide from her. Because in my card, I put everything that she would know about me.
